My Learning in EM-TECH (Empowerment Technology) SUBJECT

(Narrative Report)

In this modern world one of the most popular things is the technology. Nowadays technology controls everything even ourselves and the things that we used to do, everything is changing and technology changes us all. In modern education, there is a focus in helping students take control of learning and became responsible for their education, by teaching them using trending way of teaching and educate, it is empowering students by using technology.

Empowerment technology is a great subject for students like me, to learn and understand better and to socialize. Using technology is easy to use and you get faster information, it is very applicable in education. As a student, I learned better that Empowerment Technology was teaching us the way of using technology. It gives us more information how to be more responsible of using it for good intention and that is education.

 I learned so much about Empowerment Technology it helped us to know more about ICT (Information Communication Technology). I learned about the WWW or World Wide Web, Internet, Static and Dynamic pages, Web 2.0 and it’s examples, Key features of Web 2.0, Web 3.0 and the Semantic web, Mobile technologies, Trends in ICT, Six Types of Social Media, Mobile OS, How to be safe online and how to be secure and know it’s Ethics and Etiquette, Internet Threats having this lesson really helped me because it teaches on what should be done if I have encountered one of those threats. We must be very careful on what we click in the internet because sometimes it results to the destruction of one’s personal computer or mobile phones. I’ve also learned how to create, view, edit and print documents. I’ve learned about Open Sources and Mail Merge. I’ve learned how to make a calling card and of course the brochure which is quite creative. I’ve also learned how to create a blog site.  I’ve learned how to embed file from YouTube. And many more are the lessons that we tackled about and learned about. 

In my experience in this subject it is fun, lot of enjoyment because of the exploration of what I did. I explore the parts of the Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint presentation and Word Processing. This subject helps me enhance my skills in using the computer and internet. Empowerment technology is very important to help us prepare, to teach us value and to introduce us the proper world of ICT (Information Communication Technology) and also of course to teach us the proper etiquette of using it and not the way where people use it in violence that could end up someone’s life.

We all know technology is very helpful in today’s society but also because of this we are slowly in our own destruction. Always remember this, “Think before you click” because you have the key to your success.
